Along with the Board of Trustees, I am very pleased to announce that Seumas Fantham has been appointed as the next Executive Director of the Todd Foundation, effective 2nd December 2019.
Seumas currently holds the position of Programme and Relationships Lead at the Todd Foundation. As a member of the team for nine years, he has taken a lead role in our work with youth and Māori and was pivotal in developing the Foundation’s innovative and pro-active Youth Employment funding programme. Seumas is of Ngāti Porou descent, and is a current board member of Philanthropy NZ, as well as holding several other community and philanthropic governance roles.
In taking up the position, Seumas notes “I am excited by our new focus on systemic change in Aotearoa. I believe now is a good time for funders, community and sector leaders to work better together in responding to some of the big social issues affecting our families and communities. It is an honour to be leading the Todd Foundation to further progress our strategy”.
Seumas will be replacing Christina Howard, who after 10 years of valued service to the Foundation will be leaving to provide strategic consultancy services to the philanthropic sector.
Please join me in congratulating Seumas on his appointment.
